Laser cutting machine manufacturer Ande Laser Intelligent Equipment (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. is a laser equipment manufacturer integrating R&D, production, and sales, mainly engaged in laser cutting machines, laser tube-cutting machines, laser welding machines, laser marking machines, etc. Series of equipment, today we will introduce the characteristics, functions, and uses of laser cutting machines and types of laser cutting.
1. Features of laser cutting machine
The laser cutting machine is different from the traditional cutting equipment, and the cost of use and maintenance in the later stage is very economical. At present, the laser cutting machine for cutting metal materials generally has a power between 500W-6000W, and the cutting thickness generally does not exceed 100mm, with the following Features.
**High precision, suitable for cutting precision accessories.
**Fast, more than 100 times faster than wire cutting
**Small heat affected zone, not easy to deform;
**The cutting seam is smooth and beautiful, and no post-processing is required.
2. The laser cutting machine manufacturer Ander Laser takes you to understand the function and use of the laser cutting machine.
It can perform non-contact cutting of metal plates and tubes, especially suitable for stainless steel plates, iron plates, and other materials, and has excellent processing effect on various high-hardness and brittle alloys. In the hardware and sheet metal industry, laser cutting technology can partially replace punching and wire cutting.
Laser-cutting machines can be used in these industries: sheet metal processing, chassis cabinets, elevator manufacturing, environmental protection equipment, aerospace, machinery manufacturing, shipbuilding, kitchen utensils, electronics, advertising signs, metal crafts, and other industries.
3. Types of laser cutting
① Melt cutting
Fusion cutting is another standard process used when cutting metal. Can also be used to cut other fusible materials such as ceramics.
Nitrogen or argon is used as the cutting gas, and a gas pressure of 2-20 bar is blown through the incision. Argon and nitrogen are inert gases, which means they don’t react with the molten metal in the cut, just blowing them away to the bottom. At the same time, the inert gas can protect the cutting edge from being oxidized by the air.
② Compressed air-cutting
Compressed air can also be used to cut thin sheets. Air pressurized to 5-6 bar is enough to blow away the molten metal in the cut. Since nearly 80% of the air is nitrogen, compressed air cutting is basically fusion cutting.
③ Plasma-assisted cutting
If the parameters are chosen properly, plasma clouds will appear in the plasma-assisted melting cutting cuts. The plasma cloud consists of ionized metal vapor and ionized cutting gas. The plasma cloud absorbs the energy of the CO2 laser and converts it into the workpiece, so that more energy is coupled into the workpiece and the material melts faster, resulting in faster cutting. Therefore, this cutting process is also called high-speed plasma cutting.
The plasma cloud is virtually transparent to the solid-state laser, so plasma-assisted melting and cutting can only use CO2 lasers
